Mildred Robertson

Greenville/Hinesville Mildred Louise Groover Wells Robertson of Greenville, SC. died November 4, 2012 at Rolling Green Village after a short illness. She was born April 5, 1917 in Hinesville, Ga. She was a charter member of the Hinesville First Baptist Church, and in her last years in SC she faithfully attended Bethesda Methodist Church in Powdersville, SC. with her children. She was known for her gift of caring and love of people, life, and especially her family. She enjoyed a happy career for many years at the The Pacer and later at Rogers Company in Hinesvile, where her work, friends, and community involvement brought her great fulfillment. She is preceded in death by her first and second husbands, Stacy Wells and William Robertson; her daughter Sylvia Wells McDonald; a grandson Brandon Howell; her parents James E. and Susie Groover; two brothers Robert and Everette Groover and two sisters Madeline Groover Simpson Davis and Edith Groover Payne. She is survived by her sons Stacy Wells of Atlanta, GA. and Harold Wells of St. Petersburg, FL.; daughter Angela Wells Tucker of Greenville, SC.; grandchildren Bill and Carla Goodwin of Hinesville, GA., Rick and Pamela Russo of Knoxville, TN., Stacie Wells of Augusta, GA., and Marc and Charla Bloomer of Greenville, SC. She had 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Hinesville with Rev. Roy Broughman officiating.
