Richard J. Wilson, JR.

Hinesville Richard “Richie” Joseph Wilson, Jr. 61, died Thursday July 26, 2012 at Liberty Regional Medical Center after a long illness. He was a native of Fort Gordon and lived in Hinesville since 1963. He was a graduate of Bradwell Institute Class of 1968, a 1974 graduate of University of GA, and a 1987 graduate of GA Southern University. He worked for the Liberty County Board of Education for 22 years. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church, a Scout Master from 98-99 of Boy Scout Troop 451 and an avid fisherman. Survivors are a sister Teresa (Chris) Garretson of Hinesville; adopted sister Bernice Eby of Midway; several nieces and nephews. The family will have a private interment at a later date.
