Hinesville Jack Keel, 86, died at his residence Saturday, June 30, 2012 under the care of hospice following a long illness. He was a native of Bulloch County Ga. and lived in Hinesville for 60 years. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church and Ogeechee Masonic Lodge 213 F & AM, he was recipient of 50 year pen. He was a member of Hacks Pasture Hunting Club for many years. He served as the Judge of Magistrate of Liberty County for 15 years. He was the former owner of J&J Barber Shop for 50 years. Survivors are his wife of 67 years Juanita Keel of Hinesville; 2 daughters Jackie (Wayne) Ray of Hinesville and Jerri (Bob) Graff of Pembroke; 3 sons John (Buckey & Yvette) Keel of Hinesville, Jimmy (Jennie) Keel of Riceboro, and Joey (Diana) Keel of Riceboro; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Honorary Pallbearers are Robert Smith, Billy and Louise Poole, Don Giddens, Billy Leedy, Kenny Fussell, Ed Edwards, Tony Mullis, Steve Adams, Thomas and Mary Cribbs, Wayne Movley, Chuck Smith, Bobby O’Neal, Bobby and Sandy Mobley, Don Padrick, Al Padrick, Kenneth Shaw, Kevin and Mary Lou Poole, Ronnie and Tommie Jean Clifton, Jeff and Pam Vreeland, Melinda Anderson, Flo Williams, Joyce King, Johnny Smiley, Buster Strickland, Wallace Strickland, and George and Brenda White. Active Pallbearers are Mark Ray, Keith Ray, Michael Graff, Ryan Graff, Eric Keel and Allen Keel. Visitation will be Monday, July 2, 2012 from 6 – 9pm at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Tuesday at Westside Baptist Church with burial at Oglethorpe Memorial Park and Rev. Robert O. Long and Rev. Bob Briley officiating.
