Roger Armand Reed

Hinesville Roger A. Reed, 61, died Friday, March 16, 2012 at his residence after a long illness. He was a native of Forestdale, Rhode Island and lived in Hinesville for 28 years. He retired from the US Army as a Sergeant First Class after 21 years and served two tours in Vietnam. Mr. Reed was also retired from Rogers Correctional Facility in Reidsville after 15 years. He was a lifetime member of the VFW in Hinesville and the Fred L. Ginter post of the American Legion in Hinesville. Survivors are a son; Roger (Chip) Allen Reed of Hinesville; Daughter; Tracey (Wade) Hugo of Allenhurst; 2 Granddaughters; Meagan and Savannah Hreha both of Allenhurst; Brother; Donald Reed of Texas. Graveside Services will be Wednesday at 1:00p.m. at Georgia Veterans Cemetery in Glennville with Full Military Honors.
