Jimmy D. Mobley Jimmy David Mobley, 70, died at home February 13, 2012, under the care of hospice after a long, courageous struggle. He was born May 19, 1941, in Glennville, Georgia, to Henry and Frances Mobley. He was a 1959 graduate of Bradwell Institute where he lettered in Baseball. He began his career in wholesale food distribution at Belford Wholesale Company and Derst Baking Company, and continued in the field as manager and later owner of Liberty Dairy of Hinesville for 25 years with his brother, Ronny. He was blessed as a successful business man having also owned and operated a construction company and pawn shop. He retired to Pine Harbor, Georgia, on the Sapelo River in 1997, where he enjoyed his love of fishing, golfing, and stock investing. He was a member of Gum Branch Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, his brother, Ronny Mobley, and niece, Lori Mobley Groover. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Lynda Beach Mobley of Pine Harbor; mother, Frances F. Mobley of Hinesville; children, Marla and Steve Troha, and Jeff and Davia Mobley, all of Hinesville; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Sandy Mobley; sister-in-law, Vera Mobley; grandchildren, Ryan and Sarah Troha, of Hinesville; Ethan Troha, of Athens; and Nolan Mobley, of Hinesville; and special aunt, Peggy Rewis, of Reidsville; several nieces, a nephew, and cousins. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 15, 2012, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home, Oglethorpe Chapel, Hinesville, Georgia, with the service immediately following. Burial will be at the Hinesville Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Robin Brinkley, Glenn Howard, Brad Lee, Bobby Mize, Ronnie Moody, and Clay Trim. Honorary pallbearers will be the Bradwell Institute classes of 1957, 1958, and 1959, Edgar Edwards, Edward Haymans, Len Graddy, Doug Morrow, Jones Peebles, Graham Lewis, Noel Osteen, Jim Smith, and Edward Kelso. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, Gum Branch Baptist Church, or Morgan Chapel Building Fund.
