Aubrey “Bubba” Harden, 70, of Port Wentworth, GA died Friday, February 17, 2012 after an extended illness. He has been a resident of Port Wentworth for the past 50 years. He was employed with the City of Savannah as a maintenance supervisor with the Water and Sewer Dept. He was a member and elder of Savannah First Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth “Libby” Harden of Port Wentworth; a son, Anthony “Tony” Harden (Meredith) of Wilmington Island; two daughters, Audrey Blair (John) of Port Wentworth and Amy Crosby (Blake) of Ridgeland, SC; brother, Neil Harden (Jean) of Pooler; and a sister Gloria Cheaves of Richmond Hill; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Trent Thompson, Harold Cheaves II, Barry Bazemore, Brent Bazemore, Tim Harden, Chris Harden, George Cheaves, and Kenneth Russing. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 18th from 5 – 7 pm at the funeral home. The funeral service will be Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 2 pm at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel in Richmond Hill with Elder Jimmy Stripling and Elder Jimmy Giddens officiating with burial following in the Bryan Cemetery.
