Valara "Sunshine" Mae Richardson

Valara “Sunshine” Richardson, 72, passed away Thursday, December 22nd in the care of Hospice Savannah surrounded by loved ones. Sunshine is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Charles Richardson and her sister Ester Welch. She is survived by her children Richard Richardson (Candie) of Richmond Hill, Curtis Richardson of Buffalo, NY, Douglas Richardson (Deborah) of Richmond Hill and Carol Richardson (Brigitte) of Savannah; brother, Eddie Sumer (Delaine) of Savannah; sister, Faye Lewis (Sol) of North Carolina; 2 grandchildren Evan Richardson and Wendy Richardson; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 27th from 6-8 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday December 28th at 11:00 a.m. Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel followed by burial at Greenwich Cemetery.
