Vernon Holmes Smart, Jr.

Vernon H. (Vernie) Smart, Jr., 57, of Richmond Hill died after an extend illness. He has been a resident of Kansas City, Missouri for the past ten years before coming back to Richmond Hill. He was a graduate of Savannah High School Class of 1972, a member of the Band of Gold and a very talented musician. He was an ordained minister in mission work in Montana. He is survived by his son, Matthew Kick of Atlanta; parents, Vernon and Connie Smarts of Richmond Hill; sister, Tammy Simmons (Frank) of Richmond Hill; one grandson; and several nieces and nephews. Donations can be made to Hospice of Savannah. A memorial service will be held at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel, Sunday, December 11th at 5:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Archie J. Seabrooks.
